Job Summary
Registered Nurse – ICU Float Unit provides neuro-focused care across units under Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator supervision. Responsibilities include assessing patients continuously, developing and documenting individualized care plans, coordinating with healthcare team, supervising non-RN staff, serving as charge nurse, and acting as a preceptor. Demonstrates competency in neuro patient care, including neuro assessment, airway management, care of trached patients, ventilator care, and participating in the TTia teaching program; performs endotracheal/tracheostomy suctioning and related procedures as per policy; supports education for patients and families and ensures smooth unit operation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- 1 year Neonatal ICU RN experience required
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS required
