Job Summary
Registered Nurse I - Pediatrics provides direct pediatric patient care under supervision, supervises and delegates nursing activities, collaborates with the healthcare team, and participates in discharge planning and quality improvement efforts. Requires current Rhode Island RN license; BSN preferred; ACLS/PALS as appropriate and BLS competency; expects leadership and teaching of new graduates and less experienced staff. Roles include ensuring safe nursing care, contributing to credentialing standards, and supporting age-spanning pediatric patients in a night-shift, full-time setting at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Pay range listed is $35.56-$59.99/hour on a night shift schedule (7:00 pm–7:30 am, every other weekend/holiday). Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Rhode Island
- BSN preferred
- Certified Wound Nurse preferred (American Board of Wound Management certification preferred, CWOCN/CWS preferred)
- Minimum two years clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing, ambulatory or surgical services in a hospital setting
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide care across the life span
- Current licensure to practice as RN in Rhode Island
- Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred
- Must have ability to perform CPR and lift/carry tasks as described
