Job Summary
Assess, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care while delivering direct patient care, education, and transitions of care. Implement an interdisciplinary plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers through timely communication. Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, and applicable laws to promote a quality patient experience. Prioritize assignments, work within standardized procedures, and resolve standard problems using established options. Ensure patient privacy and maintain confidentiality of protected health information. Work independently and as part of the team in an environment with interruptions. Perform routine assignments to develop competence in structured work assignments.
Required Qualifications
- RN-Registered Nurse license
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts and practices
- Medical terminology
- Anatomy
- Physiology
- Working knowledge of the healthcare industry
- Safety precaution policies
- Best practices regarding patient care
- Privacy
- Changes in local/state/federal regulations
- Written and verbal communications skills
- Basic knowledge of computer applications
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook)
- Electronic Health Record (EPIC)
