Job Summary
Registered Nurse I on the 10 West Trauma & Spine unit provides individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process, delivering safe and effective care, and collaborating with the health care team to achieve positive outcomes. The role supports adult and geriatric inpatient medical-surgical patients with traumatic and orthopedic injuries, postoperative spine and general surgery needs, and related services. Requires active RN licensure, BLS certification, and the ability to perform physical tasks and shifts on a rotating schedule in an inpatient hospital setting; minimally, a BSN is preferred with mandatory progression toward BSN within defined timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or ARC equivalent)
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; if RN with Associate/Diploma degree, must enroll in accredited BSN within two years and obtain BSN within four years of hire
- Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse
