Job Summary
Implement a comprehensive program of health services for the campus by providing direct health services to students and promoting health education and preventive health practices. Conduct health appraisals to identify student health defects while utilizing knowledge of vision and hearing screening certification. Apply strong organizational and communication skills to implement district policies and procedures, supported by two years of nursing experience, preferably in community health. This full-time position spans 187 calendar days within Hutto ISD, offering a salary range of $53,652.00 to $64,640.00 per day.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program
- Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners
- Certified by the Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening
- CPR Certification
- Knowledge of health appraisal to identify student health defects
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement policies and procedures
- Two years of nursing experience
