Registered Nurse - Hospice/Palliative Care

Job Summary
Plans, provides, and/or supervises nursing care for patients in hospice and palliative care, coordinating care planning efficiently and compassionately. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care according to physician orders, taking and recording measurements, assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with other caregivers. Requires strong communication skills to interact effectively with medical staff and adapt care based on patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- Current Ohio RN License and ADN
- Valid CPR certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
- Valid drivers license and proof of auto liability insurance
- Two (2) years previous experience in med/surg, home or hospice care or long term care
- Ability to read, write and explain or describe moderately complex information to other hospital staff
- Ability to communicate well in an oral and written manner
- Ability to read, calculate and prepare medication
- Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities
- Demonstrates competence in age-specific patient care
