Job Summary
Conduct direct nursing care to patients, distribute medications, and perform periodic chart audits while ensuring all tasks comply with regulatory standards. Oversee assigned staff by establishing work assignments, managing unit flow, and identifying staffing needs. Assist with care coordination, population health, and process improvement strategies alongside the Charge Nurse. Teach and counsel patients and families on health assessments, disease prevention, and hygiene. Participate in daily and weekly huddles, de-escalate crisis situations, and maintain licensure for continuing education. Act as site lead in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Unrestricted Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas
- Current healthcare provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card obtained through approved American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- At least 2 year of experience as nurse
- AAACN Certification
