Job Summary
Oversee assigned staff, establish work assignments, and direct clinical support in a community healthcare center, acting as the site lead when the Nurse Manager is absent. Perform charge nurse duties by managing unit flow, identifying staffing needs, and participating in daily and weekly huddles. Provide direct nursing care, assess patient needs, and counsel families on health maintenance while ensuring all documentation and regulatory compliance meet Joint Commission standards. Support staff development through coaching and mentorship, assist with care coordination, and lead quality assurance strategies to improve patient outcomes. Maintain licensure and complete required training while collaborating with the care team to facilitate continuity of care for homeless populations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Unrestricted Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas
- Current healthcare provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card obtained through approved American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- At least 2 year of experience as nurse
- AAACN Certification
