Job Summary
Assess and evaluate patient status, write and initiate plans of care, and regularly re-evaluate patient and family needs. Develop care plans establishing goals based on nursing diagnoses, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and complete accurate clinical notes regarding patient conditions and pain management. Communicate with physicians regarding patient needs, obtain orders, and maintain a safe environment while participating in interdisciplinary group meetings. Fulfill case assignments, participate in on-call duties, and supervise ancillary personnel when required. Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and actively contribute to quality assessment and performance improvement teams.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
- Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations
- Maintain current BLS CPR certification
- Possess a valid driver's license and own a reliable, insured vehicle
- 2+ years' nursing experience
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years' nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics is desirable
