Job Summary
Provide general nursing care in an outpatient OB/GYN and General Surgery clinic by following established standards and procedures. Responsibilities include prioritization and triage of care, obtaining patient consent and health history, administering prescribed medications and treatments, documenting care, coordinating with physicians and other health providers, educating patients and families about health status and management of conditions, and participating in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Support lactation consultations and wound care services as part of the clinic nursing role.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required
- Current/valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board is required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required
- One (1) year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting is required
