Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting for OB/GYN and General Surgery patients. Responsibilities include performing nursing duties per established standards, obtaining consent, documenting health history and vital signs, administering medications and treatments, coordinating with physicians and other health team members, educating patients and families, maintaining medical records, and participating in multidisciplinary care to improve patient outcomes. Requires critical thinking, excellent communication, adherence to care guidelines, and ability to perform tasks such as patient transport, equipment handling, and documentation. Licensure as an RN and BLS/ACLS are required; 1 year clinic or acute hospital nursing experience preferred; BSN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required
- Current/valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board is required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required
- One (1) year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting is required
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred
