Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Holy Rosary OB/GYN and General Surgery clinics using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Prioritize and triage care delivery, obtain patient consent, document health histories and vital signs, and execute prescribed treatments including wound care services and lactation consultations. Educate patients and families on health maintenance while tracking quality assurance data and participating in multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes. This full-time role in Miles City, Montana, requires a licensed RN with one year of clinical experience to support ambulatory care patient needs under physician leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current/valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS)
- One (1) year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting
- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts
- Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structure, and functions; and community resources
- Understanding of health care technology, equipment, and supplies
- Familiarity with state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients
- Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations
- Critical thinking skills within scope of practice population health management and improvement of patient outcomes
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
Desired Qualifications
