Job Summary
Conduct in-home clinical assessments and deliver treatment for acute conditions, including managing IV antibiotics via PICCs, complex wound care with NPWT, and surgical drain tube management. Provide evidence-based, person-centred nursing care to Support at Home customers across Melbourne Metro suburbs as part of the Hospital in the Home program. Commence shifts at 8:00am or 8:30am based on operational requirements within a casual, rotating schedule. Requires unrestricted AHPRA registration, acute hospital experience, and a current driver's license with a roadworthy vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Unrestricted registration as a Registered nurse with AHPRA
- Excellent communication and time management skills with proven ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated experience working in acute medical/surgical, emergency or other critical care and/or community-based environment working with a diverse customer group
- Recent acute hospital experience
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with others to coordinate the delivery of care to customers
- Demonstrated current practice knowledge and minimum 12 months experience in delivering care to customers receiving IVAB via PICC lines, complex wound care including NPWT, and surgical drain tube management
- Current driver's license and registered, insured roadworthy vehicle
