Job Summary
Provide specialized nursing care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions in a multi-specialty Bronx, NY practice. Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments; manage central lines, ports, and vascular access devices; assess and document patient responses; educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, side effects, and supportive resources; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care; maintain accurate medical records and adhere to infection control and oncology safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Hematology/Oncology setting as an RN
- Proficiency in chemotherapy administration, central line care, port access, management of oncology-related symptoms, and patient assessment
- Knowledge of oncology protocols and safety standards
