Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while ensuring all interventions align with safe professional nursing standards and HSL core competencies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet clinical needs, document care in electronic medical records, and adhere to individualized care plans. Practice in a primary nursing model, taking accountability for assigned patients and delegating supervision to licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants. Participate in shared governance, quality data collection, and performance improvement projects to maintain high standards. If assigned charge nurse responsibilities, provide clinical oversight, manage shift assignments, and lead rounds. Model professional behavior and mentor staff while actively supporting culture change initiatives and patient autonomy.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of approved school of nursing
- Current Massachusetts license as an R.N. in good standing
- Understand the philosophy and support the model of care at HRC
- Must be professional, proactive, collaborative, conscientious and results-oriented individual
- Must have an optimistic and positive demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good intuition and able to adapt to changing priorities and display good, sound judgment with a sense of humor
- Superb organizational skills
- Solid analytical skills
- Ability to innovate, think strategically and conceptually, manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle even difficult situations
- Motivated to learn and flexible to change
- Computer literacy
- Excellent English language skills, written and verbal
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
