Job Summary

Assess, diagnose, plan, and evaluate patient care for the Heart Failure population while documenting outcomes and managing time effectively. Coordinate and implement patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives, and activities of other health team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards. Solicit and validate patient/family satisfaction, participate in peer reviews, and develop educational materials for staff and patients. Complete yearly mandatory and unit-specific competencies, including Professional Practice Ladder requirements such as Charge Nurse responsibility and department initiatives. Submit a current portfolio to the Director/Designee annually by March 1st. Requires RN license, BLS certification, and Education Associates Nursing degree (BSN preferred). Pay range $34.00 - $48.87.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse II (RN II)
  • Education Associates Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN)
  • Bachelor's Nursing (BSN)
  • 1872 full-time or part-time hours (936 if hold BSN) of RN experience
  • RN license
  • Licensed or eligible to practice pending licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia and/or West Virginia
  • Multistate license under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • Single-state license valid in Virginia or West Virginia only
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved
  • American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification
  • Must have a reliable means of phone communication with hospital
