Job Summary
Provides nursing care on Neuro/Cardiac units including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; supervises non‐RN personnel, functions as Charge Nurse, and coordinates care with the healthcare team. Demonstrates competency in neuro assessment, airway management of neuro patients, suctioning (pharyngeal, endotracheal, tracheostomy), and care for patients requiring devices such as halo braces and LVADs. Roles on Cardiac ICU/CTICU and vascular/stepdown units with emphasis on patient education, discharge planning, and adherence to unit policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
