Job Summary
Registered Nurse – Heart Failure Coordinator location includes Barrington, RI; responsibilities include assessing patient conditions throughout the continuum of care, developing and documenting individualized plans of care, coordinating care with the healthcare team, educating patients and families, serving as a preceptor and charge nurse, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in cardiac/heart failure units. Role requires supervising non‐RN personnel on the unit, adherence to unit policies, and maintaining professional standards per Nurse Practice Act; BSN preferred and CT RN licensure with possible specialty certification encouraged. The unit focus areas include neuro assessment and care, airway management, post-surgical and complex cardiac patient care, ventilator support, and facilities such as CTICU/HVC ICU settings with experience in devices like LVADs and ECMO considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
