Job Summary
Provide patient care using the nursing process, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinate care with other departments. Must be a graduated nurse with an active RN license in the hiring state/compact, and maintain required certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC/TNCC as applicable). Role involves professional accountability for patient care, adherence to Mercy Service Standards, and responsibilities across the Cardiology/Heart Center unit. Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate‘s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, CPHON, OCN, NRP, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications may be required depending on unit.
- Experience/Other: Proficiency to perform nursing duties with professional accountability; ability to coordinate patient care in collaboration with other departments; adherence to Mercy mission and service standards.
- Physical Requirements: Pushing/pulling/lifting up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing/walking; ability to reach/bend/kneel/twist/squat.
