Job Summary
Registered Nurse position in hospice care (Mon-Fri per diem) with responsibilities including assessment of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of patients and families, coordinating care within an Interdisciplinary Team, documenting services in EMR within 24 hours, administering medications and treatments, participating in care plan meetings and quality improvement activities, acting as case manager/advocate for patients and families, providing caregiver education, participating in on-call rotations, and traveling within South Florida as needed. Requires maintaining licenses/certifications, adherence to policies, and ability to work under high-stress conditions while delivering compassionate hospice care.
Required Qualifications
- RN license required
- Active nursing license in Florida or eligibility for licensure in the state
- CPR certification
- Hospice or palliative care experience preferred
- ability to lift/move patients per nursing standards
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to travel within South Florida as needed
- Interdisciplinary Team involvement and care planning experience
