Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinates care in the ambulatory care setting, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, and intervening in actual or potential health problems; conducts telephone triage to direct patients to appropriate care; maintains accurate patient records using computer systems; collaborates with patients, families, and care teams; requires NY RN license, BCLS, Infection Control, and Child Abuse certificates; minimum 2 years of nursing experience with preference for ambulatory/ER/medical-surgical settings; strong communication, multitasking, and decision-making abilities. Base salary $85,280/year with sign-on bonus options based on experience; full benefits and professional growth opportunities; BSN/MSN degrees may yield increases. Location: Kingston, NY (US) in-person, full-time role.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Professional Nursing license
- Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Current Infection Control Certificate
- Current Child Abuse Certificate
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience in an Ambulatory, Medical Surgery, or ER setting preferred
- Experience with telephone triage and diagnosis procedures
- Proficiency in using computer applications and the internet
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and make critical independent decisions
- Knowledge of medications
- Ability to maintain detailed patient records using computer systems
