Job Summary
Critical Care Registered Nurse in an Acute Care Academic Medical Center in Syracuse. Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients; monitor and interpret complex patient data and vital signs; operate and manage specialized critical care equipment; administer medications and treatments as prescribed; collaborate with physicians and healthcare team; document patient care in EPIC; respond rapidly to emergencies; educate patients and families. Requires NY RN license, BLS and PALS certifications (ACLS preferred); minimum 1 year of recent CCU trauma-center experience; EPIC proficiency. 12-hour night shifts with alternating weekends and some holidays.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure in New York
- Active BLS & PALS certifications (ACLS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Critical Care experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Strong EMR experience (EPIC essential)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
