Job Summary
Registered Nurse needed for Cardiac ICU/CTICU units in the YNHH health system.Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care on a nursing unit; supervising non-RN personnel; serving as charge nurse; precepting new staff; providing education to patients and families; coordinating care with the healthcare team; and managing complex cardiac/post-operative patients, including neuro care competencies, airway management, tracheostomy care, ventilator support, and device management (e.g., IABP, Impella/VADs, ECMO). Requirements include current CT RN licensure, BSN preferred, and BCLS certification (or obtain within one month).
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
