Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) on a Neuro/Cardiac ICU unit at YNHHS, performing patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and supervision in collaboration with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include coordinating care across the continuum, documenting plans of care, educating patients and families, precepting new staff, serving as charge nurse, and ensuring performance in line with unit standards. BSN preferred; CT RN license required; BCLS certification required within one month of hire; opportunities for professional development and specialization in neuro and cardiac ICU settings.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Current registered nurse license in the state of Connecticut.
- BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire.
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged.
