Job Summary
Registered Nurse in a fast-paced Cardiac/Neuro ICU setting. Provides direct patient care, assesses and plans individualized care, and coordinates with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Serves as preceptor and charge nurse, demonstrates advanced skills in neuro assessment, airway management, ventilator care, and care of patients with neurological or cardiac conditions (including post-operative CABG/valve replacements, LVAD/ECMO considerations). Delivers patient and family education, participates in discharge planning, and upholds professional standards and the organization’s values. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current Connecticut RN license
- BCLS certification (or obtain within one month)
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
