Registered Nurse on a neuro/cardiac-focused unit with supervision of non-RN personnel, preceptor duties, and charge nurse responsibilities. Responsibilities include assessing patients continuously, developing and documenting individualized plans of care, coordinating with the healthcare team, educating patients/families, and ensuring smooth operation of the department. Requires nursing education that includes BSN or higher preferred, CT licensure, and BCLS within one month of hire. Skill areas include neuro assessment, airway management, care of tracheostomy and ventilated patients, and familiarity with devices such as IABP, Impella, LVAD, and ECMO; unit-specific programs and standards are noted (Tia teaching, ICU/NICU context) with an emphasis on patient-centered care and professional development.
