Job Summary
Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual patient care on a nursing unit, supervises non-RN personnel, and may assume Charge Nurse responsibilities. Delivers care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator; collaborates with healthcare team to develop and document plans of care, educate patients and families, and ensure high-quality service. Demonstrates competencies in neuro-focused patient care, airway management, airway procedures, and post-operative cardiac/neuro care, including experience with devices and specialized units such as CTICU/ICU settings. Maintains adherence to unit policies and professional standards while contributing to education and staff development.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire.
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged.
