Job Summary
Registered Nurse on the Med Surg unit (36 hr/week, days) utilising the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinating with other departments, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and ensuring professional accountability for assigned patients. Requires an active RN license in Missouri or compact licensure and applicable nursing education (ADN, Nursing Diploma, or BSN). BLS certification is required or obtained within 30 days of hire. Full-time days schedule with 36 hours per week at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO. Experience preferred depending on unit; opportunity for growth within Mercy’s mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (through AHA) or within 30 days of hire
- Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred/required depending on unit
