Job Summary
Provide high-level clinical nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment in the Chemotherapy Day Unit. Demonstrate safe administration of anti-cancer medication and expert cannulation skills while adhering to a person-centred care approach. Assess learning needs for home-based caregivers and initiate referrals for psycho-social support. Manage symptom management advice for patients and families throughout the disease process. Requires a current AHPRA-registered General Nursing degree with at least two years of cancer nursing experience and an Anti-Cancer Drug Administration course. Fixed-term part-time hours available until March 2027 with salary packaging and wellbeing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in general nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Cancer Nursing
- Anit-Cancer Drug Administration Course (ADAC) competent
- Willing to obtain National Criminal History Check
- You may therefore be required to undergo mandatory immunisations/vaccinations (including flu vaccinations)
- This position is subject to a Victorian government direction regarding vaccination against COVID-19
