Job Summary
Conduct patient care using the nursing process in the Medical Telemetry unit, maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds, along with prolonged standing and walking. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and an Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN. Available for nights (1900-0730) on a part-time schedule of 24 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an approved or accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Eligible to take board of nursing exam (if Graduate Nurse)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
