Job Summary
Provide patient care in Medical-Surgical settings using the nursing process. Requires RN licensure in the hiring state or compact licensure, and at least 1 year of experience. Certifications include BLS (and unit-specific requirements: ACLS/PALS where applicable). Physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing/walking. Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Licensure: current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Experience: 1 year of experience
- Certifications: Life support certification current upon hire and alignment with Mercy policy (BLS for Med Surg/WC; BLS, ACLS for CC; BLS, ACLS, PALS for ED)
- Physical requirements: push/pull/lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing/walking; ability to grip/reach/bend/kneel/twist/squat
