Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) at Mercy. Provides patient care using the nursing process; requires RN licensure in the hiring state or compact licensure, with 1 year of experience. Certifications include BLS; additional requirements by unit: BLS for Med Surg/Women & Children, BLS/ACLS for Critical Care, and BLS/ACLS/PALS for Emergency Department. Must meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking, and flexibility to reach/bend/kneel/twist/squat. Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Licensure: Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Experience: 1 year of experience
- Certifications: Life support current upon hire; BLS for MS/WC; BLS/ACLS for CC; BLS/ACLS/PALS for ED
- Physical requirements: ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing/walking; reach/bend/kneel/twist/squat
