Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned GI Lab patients while maintaining professional accountability. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Work 36 hours per week in a day shift at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO. Obtain and maintain a current RN license within the hiring state or compact licensure area, and secure Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
