Job Summary
Registered Nurse - GI Lab in a hospital setting provides full patient-care leadership and supports the Chief Nursing Officer in leading the patient care team. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, interventions, evaluation), developing care and education plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to quality improvement. The role involves collaboration with department managers and directors, precepting and validating competencies for new hires, teaching nursing students, coordinating assigned teams, and acting to ensure safe, compassionate care, with opportunities across Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU/stepdown/ER, Orthopedic and Med/Surg populations. The ideal candidate holds a California RN license, BSN preferred, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications with relevant GI/Cath Lab experience and a willingness to obtain additional certifications as needed.
Required Qualifications
- California Registered Nurse License
- BSN desired (preferred)
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS (within 30 days of hire)
- NRP (within 6 months of hire)
- AB508 (within 30 days of hire)
- SDS/GI Lab certifications (within 30 days of hire)
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
- Experience: 1 year in acute care preferred
- Certification in Medical-Surgical/Orthopedic or other specialty preferred
