Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the GI Lab. Maintain professional accountability for care provision and evaluate the effectiveness of care by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Maintain a current Missouri RN license and Basic Life Support certification. Work full-time days with additional call hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (BSN, Associate's Degree, or Diploma Program)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed
- Must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required
- Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
- Must be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Must be available for additional call hours to include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
