Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients in the GI Lab. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Requires a current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift 50 pounds with prolonged standing and walking. Includes up to $10,000 sign-on bonus and bridging programs for degree advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (BSN, Associate's Degree, or Diploma Program)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed
- Must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required
- Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand and walk each shift
- Must be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Must be available for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
