Job Summary
Provide patient care in the GI Lab using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care with other departments and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Maintain current Missouri RN licensure and complete required certifications such as Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. Perform duties involving lifting 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and physical movements including bending and kneeling. Work full-time days with additional evening, night, weekend, and holiday call hours. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (BSN, Associate's Degree, or Diploma Program)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed
- Must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit specific certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required
- Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
- Must be able to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Must be available for additional call hours to include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
