Job Summary
Provide expert clinical care, education, and support to patients undergoing cancer treatment in the infusion suite by delivering medication administration as per prescribed protocols. Manage the nursing patient load effectively while ensuring physical and psychological needs are met. Facilitate communication with medical officers and allied health services using the ISBAR tool, document all patient events, and maintain procedures aligned with best practice medical oncology nursing standards. Support the clinical introduction of new medications and products through demonstrated application in the care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS
- Strong commitment to quality patient care
- Ability to use electronic clinical administration systems
- Medical Oncology skills are highly desirable
