Job Summary
RN with General Surgery focus providing patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical unit. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients; develops and implements care plans with physiological, psychosocial and cultural considerations; collaborates with an interdisciplinary team; delegates and prioritizes tasks to ensure safe, ethical, high-quality care; facilitates patient transitions and ensures accurate documentation and education for patients and families; requires CRT/BLS CPR certification, Virginia RN licensure (or compact state) and a minimum of 2 years nursing experience; weekend shifts included; supports Riverside Health System standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- RN (Registered Nurse) in Virginia or compact state
- CPR/BLS Certification
- 2 years nursing experience
- Nursing degree (Bachelor's, Associate's preferred; Nursing Diploma minimum) or Program Graduate with required licensure
- Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
- Competence in patient education and discharge planning
- Ability to supervise non-professional personnel
- Experience with care coordination and documentation according to standards
