Registered Nurse General Surgery Neuro

Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for adults undergoing general surgery and neurosurgical procedures. Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor for changes in condition, and intervene promptly. Coordinate care from pre-operative to discharge, including education, pain and wound management, neuro assessments, and discharge planning. Communicate clearly with surgeons, hospitalists, anesthesiologists, therapists, case management, patients, and families; document assessments and responses in the electronic health record; support precepting new team members and nursing students; contribute to a collaborative culture focused on patient safety and quality outcomes.
