Job Summary
Registered Nurse on the Neurology – General Surgery unit (A6 West) at Mission Hospital with a focus on neuro/telemetry patient care, stroke care, and a dedicated Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). Responsibilities include admission assessments, monitoring and documentation during shifts, administering prescribed medications, promptly addressing changes in patient status, and educating patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care. The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team to provide compassionate, high-quality care and support for diverse neurological conditions within a 36-bed med-surg neuro telemetry setting.
Required Qualifications
- RN
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of start date
- NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of start date
- State RN licensure as required by position
