Job Summary
Outpatient Clinic RN in General Surgery provides comprehensive nursing care, including initial patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, patient and family education, and support for minor procedures. Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, and healthcare staff; uses EHR for documentation; coordinates care and follows up on patient education and safety. Key duties include wound care, suture removal, assisting with minor surgeries, and supporting quality improvement and inventory management in a clinical setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
- 3 year of relevant experience in an outpatient or clinical setting
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
