Job Summary
Plans and implements professional nursing care for patients in the Medical-Surgical Telemetry Department in accordance with hospital policies; assumes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned; administers medication as ordered; identifies patient care needs through assessment; plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates patient care; maintains a safe environment; collaborates with interdisciplinary teams; maintains patient care records; participates in cost containment and ensures appropriate charging for patient services; supports patients’ cultural and spiritual beliefs within the medical regimen; duties may be updated by department needs; requires ability to lift up to 35 pounds and meet age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing is required
- Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse or Compact state licensure
- BLS - American Heart Association
