Registered Nurse General Medical Surg

Assess patients, administer medications and treatments, and coordinate multidisciplinary care for a diverse population of adults with acute and chronic conditions including post-cardiac catheterization recovery, stroke, and COPD. Monitor for changes in condition to promote optimal health outcomes while collaborating with physicians to establish personalized care plans. Educate patients and families on their health journey and accept responsibility for care management in accordance with current policies. This 40-bed Medical Surgical Unit at Novant Health Ballantyne Medical Center serves patients recovering from procedures or managing complex medical diagnoses. Full-time day shifts run 7a-7p.
