Job Summary

Coordinate patient care in collaboration with healthcare professionals, administering medications, wound care, and personalized interventions while documenting accurately in the electronic health record. Perform physical exams, conduct clinical triaging, and screen walk-in patients to assess condition severity and need for provider intervention. Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures, including ERCP, colonoscopy, and upper endoscopy, by providing instruments, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring post-procedure patient safety. Provide health education, counseling, and psychosocial assessments to support patients and families across diverse medical specialties.

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • Associates Degree of Nursing. Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
  • Shall possess one (1) year of clinical or inpatient experience, post-education/graduation and post-licensure, within the last two (2) years providing direct care in multispecialty inpatient or outpatient clinical settings
  • Experience must demonstrate recent hands-on proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nurse care for patients across diverse medical and surgical specialties in accordance with current professional nursing standards
  • Gastro: ACLS, BLS
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) by AHA or American Red Cross
  • Must pass TB Test
  • Subject to a background/security investigation
  • Willingness to comply with DHA vaccination requirements
  • Willingness to complete a physical examination
  • Pre-employment drug screening
  • Required to wear PPE during performance of services
  • Walking, long periods of standing, stretching, crouching, bending, stooping, lifting to 50lbs, lifting over 50lbs with assistance
  • Exposure to infections disease; toxic, hazardous, or irritating chemicals; carcinogenic materials; noxious fumes; flammable liquids; radiation; pathogenic bacteria; electric hazards
  • Contract workers should maintain good personal hygiene and present a well-groomed and professional appearance IAW the policy at the place of performance

  • Monitor patient post-procedure activities to assess patient status, comfort, inspection of venous and arterial sites, inspection of telemetry and 12-lead electrocardiography data, and surveillance of appropriate medical therapy
  • Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures by providing necessary instruments and equipment
  • Perform nursing duties in the endoscopy procedure room, including assisting with pre-operative processes, monitoring vital signs, and documenting procedural findings
  • Assist the anesthesiologist and gastroenterologist during procedures
  • Assist with checking in, booking, and scheduling patients
