Job Summary
Provide safe, competent nursing care for labor and delivery patients in a high-volume maternity department. Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, oversee and guide staff, and apply patient-centered care fundamentals in accordance with facility policies and philosophy. Requires RN licensure in Nevada, BLS, and department-specific certifications (ACLS, PALS, or NRP as applicable); BSN preferred. Must complete required pre-employment assessments. The role emphasizes collaboration within Universal Health Services and Valley Health System standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada
- BSN preferred or in progress
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification (adult) or NRP/PALS as required by department
- Interim RN license from Nevada State Board of Nursing may be required
- One-year acute care experience or completion of specialty course within 6 months of hire
