Job Summary
Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Oversees and guides employees under his/her supervision. Emphasizes Patient Centered Care as the foundation for all nursing care. RN graduates are expected to be eligible for the NCLEX and work under supervision of a Charge Nurse or RN designee; interim licensure may be granted by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- 1 year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification (adult patients) or current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients)
- Interim RN license may be granted by the Nevada State Board of Nursing
- BSN preferred
