Job Summary
Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients by contacting practitioners for orders, administering prescribed medications, and providing emergency first aid. Check and record vital signs, triage intake screenings, and report treatment reactions or patient condition changes. Collaborate on medical services, maintain aseptic techniques, and provide patient education on facility policies and discharge planning. Document care accurately, recommend procedural improvements, and participate in in-service education. May cover shifts at multiple correctional facilities, act as a back-up to the Site Manager, and train new hires. Full-time nights 9pm-9:30am with a $1500 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing license in the state in which services are to be provided, in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training
- Excellent documentation skills
- Knowledge of the RN scope of practice
