Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Coordinate care plans through collaboration with families, providers, and interdisciplinary colleagues while serving as charge nurse when needed to delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel. Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure standards. Requires an unencumbered RN license; Bachelor's degree preferred. Full-time 12-hour night shift rotation includes every other weekend and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Good Samaritan has a Drug Free Workplace Policy
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
