Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for residents using the nursing process. Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, provide education, and manage preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment phases. Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel while ensuring safe administration of care and resolving service concerns. Serve as charge nurse when assigned, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation with 12-hour night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Good Samaritan has a Drug Free Workplace Policy
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
